
- The Emeris Voice is accountable to the student body and act in the best interests of students.
- Remain faithful to those who have entrusted them into the position of being on the Emeris Voice Committee.
- Recognise, support and promote student representation, participation and engagement in various academic, student support and non-academic initiatives and opportunities.
- In collaboration with campus management, Directorate of Student Experience and institution drive quality engagement, meaningful experiences and diverse and inclusive student support and engagement offerings.
- Ensure that the co-curricular, extracurricular and multicurricular programme is well organised, diverse and inclusive of all students.
- Remain faithful to the institution by representing Emeris with pride and commitment.
- Lead by example by:
- Participating and contributing meaningfully to campus and institutional events, activities, forums and meetings as required.
- Attending all lectures and academic sessions that the student is registered for in the current academic year.
- Serve on the Institutional Student Council
- Serve on the Faculty Academic Forum
- Serve on Senate as required
- Serve on the campus disciplinary panel as required.
- Serve on the Disciplinary Appeals Committee as required.
- Completing and submitting all assignments by the stipulated deadlines.
- Writing all assessments in accordance with the institutions assessment policies.
- Engaging in opportunities for leadership development and critical engagement on and off campus.
- Adhering to and upholding all institutional policies.
