Short-term individual counselling is offered to registered students of Emeris. This confirms that students registered at all Emeris sites are provided the opportunity to schedule free and confidential counselling sessions with the Student Wellness Specialist and / or Student Counsellor. All counselling sessions are provided by a registered professional, registered with either the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), as a registered counsellor or with the South African Council for Social Service Professionals (SACSSP), as a registered social worker.
Family counselling and / or couples counselling is not available, however various referral options to public and private service providers are available from the Student Wellness Specialist and / or Student Counsellor upon request.
