What does Accommodations for Differently-abled students mean?

Assessment accommodations for differently abled students encompasses a range of challenges / difficulties, which include but not limited to barriers to learning, severe physical conditions, severe mental health conditions and short-term temporary injuries or difficulties, where students are provided with an equitable chance of success.

Student support and assistance is fundamental to ensuring student success and consequently, students who experience barriers to learning physical / mental health conditions,  are encouraged to apply, with the correct supporting documentation, for an assessment accommodation. To determine the necessary eligibility and accommodation/s required, early disclosure is imperative. Early disclosure ensures all applications are processed and all support structures are implemented to ensure learning environments are equitable and conducive.
