What happens if I'm late with returning my books?
Open/General Collection: If you return an open/general collection book late, there is a fine of R10 per day.
Short Loan: If you return your short-loaned textbook late, there is a R10 fine incurred for every hour the textbook is late.
Renewal can only be granted if there is no one on the waiting list for that particular book. You are allowed to renew books twice at the Information Centre: telephonically, via email or via Assist.
If you have lost or damaged a textbook, you are liable for the cost to replace the textbook or you can purchase a replacement textbook. Please always ensure that you look after any loaned books in your care.
