Formative Assessments:
- A formative assessment is an assessment that develops learning through the provision of feedback during the learning period
 - It is used to improve learning and to give feedback to students on progress made
 - Is a graded assessment that is included in your Cumulative Assessment Mark (CASS) and: 
- Contributes to the final mark for your module
 
 
Summative Assessments:
- A summative assessment is an assessment that measures learning against intended outcomes at the end of the learning period
 - It is a formalised assessment that is used to certify the attainment of a certain level of education.
