Where will I graduate?

Students will graduate at their selected IIE-Vega School exam center venues, Students who wrote their exams at alternative venues should provide the campus with their nearest IIE-Vega School campus. We are currently not able to accommodate a virtual graduation ceremony.

Required Documentation for Registration and Graduation

In order for students to register and graduate, the following documentation must have been submitted:

  • Copy of the student’s ID (legally certified passport if a foreign student).
  • Legally certified copy of the Account Payer’s ID (or passport).
  • Legally certified copy of the student’s National Senior Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Legally certified copy of the student’s tertiary qualifications (where applicable).
  • Valid study visa made out to The Independent Institute of Education in the case of an international (foreign) student.
  • For non-degree studies: South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluations of foreign qualifications obtained.
  • For degree studies: Degree exemption certificate from Universities South Africa (formerly known as HESA) – this applies to all international students as well as SA students who sat the Senior Certificate examinations or have completed technical and N5 subjects and those students who wants to apply for mature-age exemption (not applicable to NSC).
  • Official translations of foreign language documents.
  • It is noted that often students only receive their National Senior Certificate and original undergraduate qualifications later in the first year of registration; in this instance, the student must submit legally certified copies of the interim Statement of Symbols or Academic Transcript.
