Yes, as a distance student, you must have a student card to access your respective Emeris exam centre, particularly during on-campus assessments.
To order your card, please log in to the Emeris Books Portal where you will find your prepopulated student card in your cart. During the checkout process (Step 2), you will be prompted to take a selfie. To do this, just click on the gear icon on the student card line and select "use my current device" to take a photo or "use another device", which will provide you with a QR code to scan on your phone or other device.
One thing to remember is that if you lose your student card or it gets stolen, you need to report it immediately to your Student Relations Specialist. You can request a replacement card via www.emerisbooks.co.za, but there will be a cost of R75 (excluding the courier fee). So be sure to keep your card safe!
