I want to do a postgraduate qualification, what options are available?


  • Engineering 

A Bachelor of Engineering degree is an NQF Level 8 degree, so it is equivalent to an Honours degree. To further your academic studies, you can enroll for a Master of Engineering (MEng) or a Master of Business Administration (MBA). 

Currently the IIE does not offer an MEng qualification, but as the IIE Bachelor of Engineering degrees are accredited with both the Engineering Council of South Africa and the Council on Higher Education, you can apply for admission to an MEng offered at any public university in South Africa, and at many international universities.   • Public Health 

The School of Engineering, Science and Health offers two postgraduate qualifications in Public Health:  

Bachelor of Public Health (Honours): Research focused, full-time, 1-year. 

Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health: Practice focused, part-time, 2-years. 

 

  • Water Management 

The IIE offers both a Postgraduate Diploma in Water Management and a Master of Philosophy in Integrated Water Management.
