Your qualification is awarded "with distinction" when you meet the following criteria:

Achieve an average of 75% and above for all modules in all years of study

This calculation includes each time a module is repeated

This calculation includes marks for modules that were awarded internal credits

  1. The calculation excludes:
  2. Any external credits that have been credited and annotated “EC” on your academic transcript
  3. Endorsed (E) not endorsed (NE) modules
  4. Modules exempted due to curriculum change (ECC)
  5. Modules exempted (EX) from completion due to advanced standing

If you achieve an average of 74% overall for your qualification, the qualification average mark will automatically be condoned to 75% and reflected as a distinction for the qualification.

The qualification will not be rounded off as rounding has already happened at a modular level and will not be repeated when the qualification average is determined.

Your qualification distinction will be reflected on your graduation certificate.
