PRO TIP #1: Manage Your Time


  1. Check your timetable 
  2. Write down important dates 
  3. Set weekly goals 
  4. Break tasks into smaller tasks 
  5. Utilise to-do lists 
  6. Check PAS (Program Assessment Schedule) regularly.   
  7. Prioritise 
  8. Avoid procrastinating 
  9. Work through tasks, learning units, questions and information supplied by your lecturer.  
  10. Submit assessments timeously not at the last minute.



PRO TIP #2: Set Up a Conductive Work Area


  1. Have a dedicated space for your studies 
  2. Have all the required tools with you:  laptop, calculator (where necessary) pen, pencil, note paper, desk lamp/light, a desk which has sufficient space to work on.   
  3. Study at a quiet area away from distractions of the TV, cell phone, family, friends and pets.   
  4. Have your timetable with your schedule of study time in direct eyesight.  This will assist with time management.
